COURSE DETAILS Highfield Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) in the Private Security Industry Course cost - £220.00 inclusive of VAT. (see payment details below). Who is this qualification for? Any business that uses CCTV to monitor a public space or members of the public will need trained security staff qualified as a CCTV operator and who hold a SIA licence. A level 2 award for CCTV operators in the private security industry qualification is required by law for an individual to apply for a SIA licence to work as a CCTV operator. Topics include: • the main characteristics of the private security industry • the importance of safe working practices • drug-misuse legislation • the purpose of CCTV systems • surveillance techniques • producing evidential documentation How long will it take? This course is 4 days - 9am - 4pm. Where a unit is contained within several Highfield qualifications, learners can transfer the achievement of this unit and reduce class time by 2 days: The Principles of working in the private security industry unit is contained in the following Highfield qualifications: • Highfield Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry. • Highfield Level 2 Award for CCTV Operators (Public Space Surveillance) in the Private Security Industry. • Highfield Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry. Learners cannot transfer unit achievement from previous security qualifications (those available before April 2021) to this qualification. Assessment method This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice theory test.
